Adam started his judo Career at the age of five with the Amateur Judo Association. His natural talent started earning him medals at an early age. By eleven he was a Junior Brown belt. During his time with the A.J.A., Adam became National Champion in 1996 and 1997 and also BJC open Champion in 1999 and 2003

Adam joined the British Judo Association in 1998 and by the year 2000 he was B.J.A. Junior National Champion. After losing in the final in 2001, he became National Champion for a 2nd time in 2002. Whilst going for his third win in 2003, again he lost in the final.

Adam became a member of the Great Britain Cadet squad from 2000 to 2005. Whilst a member of the squad, he competed regularly abroad representing his country on 17 occasions, winning 16 medals of which 12 were gold. In 2005 he was reserve for the Youth Olympics and Junior Europeans.

Adam has won Gold in all the domestic competitions and in 2002 won gold in every event he entered, both home and abroad. In 1995 he was chosen as Nuneaton and Bedworth Junior Sports Personality of the Year, the youngest ever to win the award. In 2002, was selected to run a stage with the baton for the Manchester Commonwealth Games

Following a serious knee injury which put Adam out for 12 months, his Senior career is now back on track winning golds in senior events.

Away from Judo, Adam's other great passion is playing Football. His proudest moment was when he played in the F.A. Cup for North Shields.
